Hey guys šŸ™‚ , It is mental health awareness week this week which is great for anxiety sufferers. If you search the hashtag on most social media platforms then you will find so many people’s stories and experiences and connect with others going through the same thing as you.

Today I’m super excited to share this recipe with you, it is for a chocolate smoothie bowl. A healthy, vegan chocolate smoothie bowl!! Healthy eating has been so important for me within my journey with anxiety and I love sharing recipes full of superfoods, like this one. You can eat the smoothie bowl solo or add toppings like granola, banana and chia seeds like I have. I have outlined the recipe for the chocolate smoothie bowl below. It is made in two simple steps.

 

Vegan chocolate smoothie bowl

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 tbsp of cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp of peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup of almond milk

(optional toppings: 1/2 banana sliced, granola, chia seeds & peanut butter to drizzle)

 

Method:

  1. Add the frozen bananas, peanut butter, cacao powder, and almond milk into a blender and combine until smooth. The desired texture for the mixture is thick.
  2. Pour into a bowl and add toppings to enjoy.
